Executive Director Position
The Executive Director of the Alamance Community College (ACC) Foundation serves as the chief development officer of the ACC Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established to advance the mission of Alamance Community College. The Executive Director is responsible for leading all fundraising, philanthropic, and community engagement activities of the Foundation at the direction of the College President. This position plays a central role in securing private support, cultivating meaningful donor relationships, and advancing the College's strategic priorities through philanthropy.
The Executive Director serves as a highly visible ambassador for both the Foundation and the College, working collaboratively across the institution and with external stakeholders to build a culture of philanthropy, expand community partnerships, and grow the Foundation's capacity to support student success, faculty excellence, and institutional innovation. This role requires exceptional leadership, a passion for community college education, and a demonstrated ability to build and sustain relationships that result in transformative investment.

Foundation Leadership and Operations
• Lead the day-to-day operations of the ACC Foundation, ensuring effective management of programs, initiatives, and administrative functions.
• Ensure compliance with all regulations and best practices related to 501(c)(3) nonprofit management and governance.
• Serve as the primary liaison for the ACC Foundation Board of Directors, including board engagement, meeting coordination, and supporting effective governance practices.
• Recruit, supervise, evaluate, and develop Foundation staff, building a high-performing team culture grounded in donor stewardship and community engagement.
• Work closely with the College's Business Office and Senior Vice President of Operations to ensure sound fiscal management of Foundation funds, assets, endowments, and other resources, maintaining compliance with applicable financial policies, audit requirements, and reporting standards.
Fundraising and Development
• Develop and execute creative, innovative fundraising strategies that engage community members, business and industry partners, and donors.
• Plan and carry out large-scale initiatives, campaigns, and events that elevate the Foundation's visibility and impact.
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with donors, corporate partners, alumni, ACC employees, and community stakeholders.
• Drive efforts to increase alumni engagement, building a stronger connection between graduates and the College.
• Under the direct guidance of the College's President and Vice President, identify institutional fundraising priorities and ensure the Foundation's development activities are strategically aligned with the College's mission, goals, and emerging needs.
Community Engagement and Institutional Collaboration
• Collaborate across the College and with external partners to ensure alignment, shared ownership, and collective impact.
• Partner closely with Marketing to strengthen the Foundation's branding, public relations, and storytelling efforts, ensuring consistency and compelling messaging.
• Manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously, demonstrating strong multitasking and organizational skills.
• Provide exceptional public service and representation, serving as a primary ambassador for the Foundation and the College.
