Service Technician Intern
The Service Technician Intern is designed for students currently enrolled in a diesel technology, heavy equipment, automotive technology, or industrial maintenance program. Interns gain hands-on experience working alongside experienced Service Technicians while applying classroom knowledge in a real-world environment. This internship is intended to develop future Service Apprentices and full-time Service Technicians at Time Manufacturing.
Interns will assist Service Technicians with preventive maintenance and equipment inspections. They will learn basic hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical troubleshooting. They will perform shop organization, cleaning, and tool maintenance. They will assist with equipment setup, washing, and detailing. They will support parts inventory, staging, and material movement. They will complete assigned safety and technical training. They will follow all company safety policies and procedures.
They will maintain accurate service documentation and work orders. They will participate in mentoring and development activities.
Interns must be currently enrolled in an accredited technical college or community college pursuing a degree or certificate in: diesel technology, heavy equipment technology, automotive technology, industrial maintenance, mechatronics or related field. A minimum GPA of 2.5 is optional. They must be able to work full-time during the summer and part-time during school breaks (if applicable). They must have a valid driver's license.
They must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a shop environment.
Preferred candidates have completed their first year of technical program, have basic hydraulic, electrical, or welding coursework, experience using hand and power tools, and OSHA 10 certification.
Interns will develop skills in preventive maintenance, hydraulic diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, mechanical repairs, equipment inspections, reading service manuals and schematics, shop safety, and OSHA compliance.
