Project Estimator - Entry Level

Schefers Roofing Company, a family-owned and award-winning commercial roofing contractor, has an immediate opening for an entry-level Project Estimator at our home office in Grain Valley, MO. This position is entry-level and while prior experience or knowledge related to commercial roofing or construction is preferred, it is not required.

The ideal candidate is a motivated, detail-oriented individual looking to start a career or gain experience in the construction industry.

Experience with AutoCAD drafting is highly preferred, however, training will be provided for the right candidate.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

* Prepare material take offs, track job cost and schedules.

* Prepare close out documents after project is complete.

* Effectively interact, and communicate with customers, vendors, and office staff.

Qualifications:

* Experience with AutoCAD drafting is highly preferred

* Construction estimating: 1 year

* Drive, enthusiasm, and a strong work ethic

* The ability to work without oversight, and function in a team setting

* Someone who takes personal ownership in their work and projects

* Can effectively approach conflicts and issues

* Construction related background is a plus
