Perform semi‑skilled labor related activities involving the maintenance of water lines and appurtenances, sanitary sewer systems, streets, and storm drains, along with other directed maintenance. Conduct routine and unique maintenance of equipment, infrastructure, and facilities to provide longevity and cost‑effective solutions while enhancing knowledge of City assets puestoo.

• Performs street maintenance activities with minimal supervision in the field
• Cleans storm drains and drainage ditches
• Performs semi‑skilled related work on water and sewer lines and associated equipment
• Reads water meters
• montact and terminates water supply in residential domains
• Assists in the removal of snow and ice on City streets
• Operates small and heavy equipment
• Performs general repairs and routine maintenance on City buildings and facilities
• Performs all other related duties as assigned

• Knowledge of: confined space, equipment operation, pumping operations, and street maintenance.

• Ability to: follow instructions and complete assignments in a timely manner.

• Skills in: performing general maintenance procedures.

• The work is performed under the supervision of the Public Works Maintenance Superintendent.

• High school diploma or GED or gezogen required
• Must have or be able to acquire State of Missouri Class A CDL within the first 6 months of employment

• General facilities maintenance knowledge
• Two (2) years experience in a related field or associate’s degree in a related field
• Pertinent water and sanitary certifications

• The primary duties are performed in a public building environment and outdoors and may include working on rooftps and in adverse weather conditions and hazards involving use of power tools, equipment, and hazardous chemicals.
• Adverse outdoor working conditions including extreme heat and cold and inclement weather
• Exposure to dirt and dust

• Sufficient clarity of hearing, with or without reasonable accommodation, allowing discernment of verbal instructions and alarm/warning systems, including backup alarms
