Production Operator

The Production Operator – Assembly will be responsible for building through-hole and surface mount printed circuit boards assemblies.

• Build through-hole (THT) and surface mount (SMT) printed circuit board assemblies and chassis, placing components on boards per controlled parts lists, drawing documentation, and quality workmanship guidelines
• Perform manual placement and hand solder through hole components per specifications
• Prep circuit boards for stuff line and wave solder
• Install electronic parts, apply solder mask, and apply solder tape to boards
• Perform Electronic Data Entry work into computer system
• Be responsible for crimping, soldering, auditing workmanship, reading drawings, and schematics
• Be responsible for navigating through an inventory management system
• Must understand and support all Quality, Product Safety, and Health/Safety/Environmental/Energy policies.
• Must understand and adhere to all relevant statutory or regulatory compliance obligations.
• Must understand, support and adhere to the Integrated Management System policies, procedures and instructions.
• Must understand and support relevant key performance indicators (KPIs), as defined in the goal tree.

• Previous printed circuit board assembly experience
• Basic math skills to including; addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a multifunctional team environment
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to read and follow assembly instructions

• Basic component identification skills

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

The anticipated wage scale for candidates who will work in Grain Valley, MO is $19.00 per hour during training and after 90 days of employment increases to $19.47 per hour. The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, the type of years and experience within the industry and education.

KB Signaling is a multi-state employer, and this pay scale may not reflect positions that work in other states or locations. Provided they meet all eligibility requirements under the applicable plan documents, employees (and their eligible dependents) will be eligible to enroll in group healthcare plans that offer medical, dental, vision, and basic life and disability insurance. Employees also will be able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan.

Employees will also receive 80 hours of vacation leave and 40 hours of Personal Paid Absence every year. Employees will also enjoy 10 paid holidays, and 2 personal holidays throughout the calendar year, subject to relevant terms outlined in the employee handbook. 6 weeks of paid parental leave will also be available for use. Employees working on federal contracts covered by the Federal Paid Sick Leave requirements will be notified and will receive benefits consistent and compliant with the FPSL requirements.
