RoleSummary:
Oversees year-round operations across residential and commercial properties. Demands extensive multi-year field experience in standard irrigation systems, complex pump setups, winter snow labor, and seasonal Christmas light installations. Responsible for hands-on technical work, seasonal turn-ons/turn-offs, crew scheduling, client management, and team leadership.
Core Responsibilities- Commercial & Residential Irrigation:
Maintain, audit, and repair high-volume commercial properties (HOAs, corporate parks) and residential landscapes (drip lines, spray/rotor zones). - Pump System Diagnostics:
Operate, prime, and troubleshoot centrifugal, submersible, booster, and VFD pump stations, including intake screens, relays, and pressure switches. - Seasonal Services:
Lead spring turn-ons (pressurization, pump priming, controller setup) and fall winterizations (high-CFM compressor blow-outs, pump drainage). - Advanced Irrigation Repairs:
Rapidly locate and fix hydraulic failures, mainline leaks, low-voltage electrical shorts (24V wiring, solenoids), and two-wire decoder systems. - Winter Operations (Snow & Lights):
Direct and execute commercial and residential snow removal labor (shoveling, snow blowing, sidewalk clearing, and de-icing). Oversee design, roofline installation, removal, and storage of custom Christmas light displays. - Scheduling & Team Leadership:
Build daily service routes across all seasons, manage inventory, enforce safety protocols, and direct field crews. - Client Relations:
Provide professional customer service to homeowners and commercial property managers, offering clear technical explanations and accurate quotes.
- Experience:
5+ years of hands-on commercial and residential irrigation experience, plus proven experience in winter snow labor and custom holiday lighting installation. - Technical Knowledge:
Deep understanding of pump mechanics (centrifugal, submersible, booster, VFDs), backflow prev enters, smart controllers, two-wire systems, and manual snow management equipment. - Operational
Skills:
Route scheduling, material estimation, low-voltage electrical diagnostics (24V wiring, solenoids), and heavy pipe fitting (PVC, Poly). - Client & Leadership:
Strong verbal communication for client-facing work with homeowners and property managers, plus proven ability to direct and mentor field crews. - Licensing & Physical:
Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record, ability to lift 50+ lbs, comfortable working on ladders/rooflines for light installs, and stamina for outdoor physical labor in extreme winter weather conditions. State backflow tester license or IA certifications preferred.
Competitive Base Pay:
