We are seeking a skilled and reliable Diesel Mechanic to join our growing service team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of diesel-powered vehicles and heavy equipment. The ideal candidate has strong technical troubleshooting skills, a commitment to safety, and a solid work ethic. Salary Range: $30 to $40 Hour depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

Diagnostics:
Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and AC failures and ability to use modern diagnostic software.

Repairs:
Perform engine repairs, brake replacements, steering/suspension adjustments, clutch and transmission repairs, differential diagnosis and replacements

Maintenance:
Execute routine preventative maintenance, including oil changes, fluid flushes, and filter replacements.

Inspections:
Conduct comprehensive safety and DOT inspections to ensure regulatory compliance.

Documentation:
Write service reports outlining the work completed and parts required.

Job Requirements

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of hands‑on experience working with diesel engines and heavy‑duty vehicles.

Licensing:
Valid driver’s license required (Class A or B CDL is highly preferred).

Tools:
Ownership of a standard personal inventory of mechanical tools.

Physical Ability:
Capability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand or bend for long periods.

Certifications:

ASE certifications or OEM‑specific training, Missouri State Inspector certification are a major plus but not mandatory.

What You’ll Do

Diagnose and repair diesel engines, electrical systems, and air brakes.

Perform routine PMs and federal DOT inspections on fleet and customer trucks.

Keep a clean bay—we supply shop rags, specialized heavy tools, and diagnostic software; you bring your standard box.
