PRIMARY
PURPOSE:
To assist and supervise students using the library computers, modify and maintain library computers, and assist the librarian in other library related responsibilities. Library is on the Specials rotation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education/Certification: High School Diploma or GED
- Special Knowledge/
Skills:
Proficient skills in computer technology - Special Knowledge/
Skills:
Good people skills and public relations - Experience: Previous library work preferred
- Experience: Some experience working with children
MAJOR
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Assist and supervise students at the library computers.
- Modify and maintain library computers.
- Assist the librarian in the clerical duties of the library, including processing books, A-V equipment and materials, computer software, magazines.
- Assist students with research papers and other assignments.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None
EQUIPMENT USED: All computer equipment, typewriter, copy machine, calculator
WORKING CONDITIONS: Mental Demands:
Reading; sorting; effective communications (verbal); maintain control under stress. Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
