Start Date:

7/20/2026

Shift: Nights – 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM (no call)

Require 1 major holiday if assignment overlaps

Shift Constraints
  • NO 48 HOUR OPTION
  • NO BLOCK GUARANTEE; will attempt to accommodate
  • Floating within Women’s Services
  • Maximum RTO – 6 days within 6 week period
Scope of Role

Labor, Deliver, Recovery, Postpartum, and newborn

Patient ratio: 1:1 labor, 3:1 couplet care

Number of beds: 8

Scrub color:
Navy blue or pink

Systems

EMR: GE Centricity Perinatal (CPN), Med Host for orders, charges and medication scanning

Responsibilities
  • Provide full-scope LDRP care in Labor & Delivery, Newborn Nursery, and Postpartum/Couplet Care
  • Competent in intrapartum management (including induction/augmentation, high‑risk labor monitoring, fetal heart rate interpretation, and circulating C‑sections)
  • Immediate newborn stabilization and NRP participation
  • Routine newborn assessments
  • Postpartum/couplet care for stable mothers and infants
  • Function independently in a low‑volume, high‑acuity rural setting and transition between labor, nursery, and couple assignments based on census and staffing needs
Qualifications
  • RN licensure
  • BLS, ACLS (AHA or ARC)
  • NRP
  • AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring and STABLE preferred
  • 2+ years' experience
  • Ability to circulate C‑sections
  • High‑risk labor management
  • Pitocin titration
  • Fetal monitoring interpretation
  • Neonatal resuscitation participation
  • Postpartum/couplet care competency
  • Preferred:
    Remote rural hospital experience; experience in LDRP model
Location / Travel

Travel:
Registered Nurse (RN) / Labor and Delivery – Nights

Travelers must be located greater than 50 miles from the facility
