Job Description
“Stumpy's Lakeside Grill” is a self‑serve, fast‑paced restaurant and marina located on Lake Granbury in Granbury, TX. Our facility features a restaurant, bar, bakery, boutique, ship store, kayak sales, gas station, boat rental service, and boat slip leasing. The restaurant serves a variety of American cuisine from hamburgers and chicken sandwiches to fried catfish and shrimp as well as our famous tacos.
We provide advancement opportunities to staff members interested in starting with shift leads and including management.
We are open from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm Tuesday–Saturday, 8:00 pm Sunday, and closed most major holidays.
Requirements- Candidates must be clean, professional, and personable.
- Works well at a fast or slow pace.
- Able to safely use a knife and other cutting tools.
- TX Food Handlers Certificate.
- Able to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
This job involves meat and produce products including fish, shellfish, chicken, onions, tomatoes, citrus, jalapenos, and other foods you may be allergic to. Please be prepared to tell us if this may be an issue.
Responsibilities- Cooking:
Use of griddles, char broiler, and fryers will be necessary; prepare salads and tacos. - Prep work:
While we do have designated prep cooks, all line cooks will be asked to do some daily prep work necessary to open/operate the kitchen and individual stations. - Set up, break down, and clean workstation.
- Label, stock, and rotate inventory and all ingredients.
- Wash dishes.
- Sweep, mop, and clean all surfaces.
- Clean inside and out of all equipment depending on your workstation. (Filtering of fry oil and cleaning of grills, griddles, and other potentially hot surfaces)
