Athletics Secretary
Granby Memorial High School is seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic Athletics Secretary (.5 FTE) to support the Athletic Department. This 10-month position plays an important role in ensuring the efficient daily operations of the athletic program while providing administrative support that contributes to a positive experience for student-athletes, coaches, families, and the school community.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 10:30 a.m.
- 2:30 p.m. (190-day position)
Essential Responsibilities:
- Manage the athletic department budget, including purchase orders, bus invoices, bank deposits, and financial recordkeeping.
- Coordinate athletic schedules, transportation, and related logistics.
- Maintain athletic rosters and student participation records.
- Monitor athlete physicals, medical documentation, and eligibility deadlines.
- Coordinate student activity forms, fundraising requests, and departmental paperwork.
- Maintain athletic equipment inventory and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Promote athletic events and achievements through social media and other communication platforms.
- Facilitate communication with coaches, students, families, officials, and community partners.
Qualifications:
- Experience with budgeting, purchase orders, and financial recordkeeping preferred.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Experience using Google Workspace and Microsoft Office; school-based software experience is preferred.
- Experience with social media promotion and communications is desirable.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and build positive working relationships with students, staff, families, and the community.
