Position:Part-Time Teller
Job Description:
Tellers provide our members with the best personal experience possible, processing member banking transactions accurately and efficiently. Tellers cross‑sell credit union products and services and perform other duties as assigned.
Provide quality service to members and team members as defined by the credit union’s service standards at all times. Warmly acknowledge and greet members with a sincere smile upon arrival at one of our offices. Provide comprehensive, prompt, accurate, and efficient member transactions.
Receive share drafts/checks and cash for deposit to accounts, verify amounts, examine share drafts/checks for proper endorsement, and accurately enter deposits into computer system. Process withdrawals from accounts and/or share draft/check cashing, verify amounts, and accurately enter withdrawals into computer system. Cash share drafts/checks/credit union checks after proper verification of signatures and member balances according to credit union policies and procedures.
Receive loan and credit card payments and accurately enter payments into computer system. Issue miscellaneous products such as money orders, credit union checks and VISA gift cards.
Maintain an individually assigned cash drawer, balance it at end of each shift, and compare totaled amount to computer‑generated totals. Research and resolve discrepancies and report any discrepancies to your supervisor. Assist other tellers research and resolve discrepancies with their drawers. Assist in opening the branch and other morning duties; assist in balancing the branch and other nightly duties.
Explain and proactively mention credit union services such as savings, loans, debit and credit cards, online banking, etc. When necessary, direct members to the appropriate person for specific information and assistance.
Assist members in completing various forms (i.e. transaction slips, payroll deduction/ACH, change of address, etc.).
Comply with and maintain an up‑to‑date and comprehensive knowledge of all related policies, procedures, rules and regulations.
Ensure that all information and transactions regarding credit union members are kept confidential. Enforce strict adherence to established security procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required HoursFriday: 9:15 AM to 6:15 PM
Saturday: 9:15 AM to 1:15 PM
Monday through Thursday:
Flexible schedule
No Saturday hours during July and August
Starting WageCompetitive wage based on experience.
Benefits IncludeVacation pay twice a year (June 30th and December 31st), tuition reimbursement up to $1,000 per semester or $4,000 per year and employer‑provided pension plan.

Education RequirementsMinimum Formal
Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Reasoning: Apply principles of rational systems to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.
