Servicing Manager
Pride Staff is seeking an experienced, growth-oriented Servicing Manager on behalf of a leading regional financial institution in Mid-Michigan.
In this key leadership role, you will oversee all post-funding loan servicing operations for both consumer and residential real estate portfolios. You will lead, mentor, and empower a high-performing servicing team while driving operational efficiency, ensuring regulatory compliance (including HMDA), and maintaining an exceptional end-to-end member experience. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise in real estate and collateralized consumer loan servicing with a passion for team development and continuous process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Loan Servicing Leadership:
Oversee comprehensive consumer and residential real estate loan servicing operations, including payment processing, post-funding tasks, and escrow administration (taxes and insurance). - Lien Perfection & Collateral Management:
Ensure accurate, compliant, and timely handling of collateralized consumer loan titles (Auto, Boat, RV, HELOCs, and Fixed Second Mortgages) and lien releases in accordance with state regulations. - Regulatory Compliance & Reporting:
Direct Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) compliance and reporting; oversee annual escrow analyses, private mortgage insurance (PMI) removals, subordinations, and loan modifications. - Team Development & Mentorship:
Manage workload distribution, workflow prioritization, and team performance. Lead cross-training and professional development initiatives to foster department growth and succession planning. - System Optimization & Vendor Relations:
Evaluate and optimize loan servicing software and core operating systems; manage third-party vendor relationships and billings to maintain high service standards and cost efficiencies. - Budgeting & Escalations:
Prepare and manage the annual departmental operating budget. Resolve complex or escalated loan servicing inquiries to deliver positive resolutions.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education:
Bachelor's degree required. - Experience:
Minimum 5 years of direct experience across all facets of real estate loan servicing. 3 to 5 years of proven management or supervisory experience required. Direct experience with consumer loan lien perfection (Auto, HELOC, etc.) strongly preferred. - Compliance & Technical Knowledge:
Working knowledge of HMDA compliance, secondary market guidelines, PMI requirements, and federal/state mortgage regulations. - Key Attributes:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong analytical and conflict-resolution abilities, and a collaborative, team-oriented leadership style. - Special Requirements:
Must be 100% bondable.
