Cath Lab Technologist - Cardiac Cath Lab Tech II

Job Details:

• Full-time weekday schedule from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM with one variable weekday off per week

• On-call requirements: 1 weekend per month (5:00 PM Friday to 6:30 AM Monday) and 4 weeknights per month (5:00 PM to 6:30 AM next day)

• No weekend commitment outside of on-call responsibilities

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a cath/EP lab required

• Must be able to scrub for all types of heart caths, peripheral vascular, structural heart, and EP procedures

• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS

• Preferably RCIS or RCES licensure, or ARRT licensure acceptable with scrub experience in cath lab performing heart caths with intervention

• Knowledge of Merge Hemo documentation system preferred

• Must demonstrate understanding of cardiac, vascular, respiratory, and renal physiology and pathology

• Ability to recognize ECG waveform morphology, wave patterns, and lethal arrhythmias

• Must understand cardiac medications, pharmacokinetics, and proper documentation

• Monitor diagnostic cardiac catheter procedures and intervene appropriately during lethal arrhythmias

• Perform cardiac outputs, O2 saturations, and ACT measurements

• Ability to work in sterile environment while wearing lead aprons up to 5 lbs for extended periods

• Must be comfortable working both independently and within a multidisciplinary team

• High school diploma or equivalent required, plus graduate of accredited Allied Health Sciences program
