Responsible for the delivery of nursing care within the assigned unit scope of practice following organizational policies and procedures, nursing process guidelines, standards of care, and standards of practice.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Assists in performing clinical procedures as directed by the physician/provider.
- Collects, records, reports and maintains data.
- Assesses each assigned patient, evaluates and documents their response to care and takes appropriate action.
- Plans and implements patient care and provides patient teaching using Standard of Care.
- Adheres to established principles of aseptic technique and infection control.
Required:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current State of Michigan Registered Nurse license.
Preferred:
ACLS certification.
