Cardiac Telemetry Nurse

Nursing position at Henry Ford Health Genesys Hospital in Grand Blanc, Michigan. The role includes a sign-on bonus of $10,000, premium pay differentials, and a full-time schedule of 7am to 7:30pm Monday through Friday and every third weekend.

General

Summary:

Use independent professional judgment, analytical skills, and the nursing process to provide a full range of delegated, interdependent, and independent nursing services to patients. Within the framework of the Seven Dimensions of Patient Care and Benner's Domains of Nursing Practice, demonstrate clinical competence; compassion and customer service orientation; focus on process and outcomes; and cost-consciousness when assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care provided to patients.

Responsibilities include:

• Coordinating development of a multi-disciplinary plan of care in accordance with Nursing Problem Care Sets and/or clinical practice guidelines.
• Providing patient care that reflects respect for patient's rights, dignity, values, culture, preferences, and expressed needs.
• Collaborating with patient/family, hospital staff, and community agencies to develop discharge plans.
• Completing assessments for risk factors including fall, skin breakdown, VTE, and aspiration.
• Monitoring patient responses and responding to changing patient situations.
• Ensuring quality of health care practices.
• Participating in teaching/mentoring of student nurses and orientates.

Education/Experience Requirements:

• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing obtained within 2 months of hire date or transfer date required.
• Certified BLS provider specializing in Basic Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained with 3 months of hire date or job transfer date required. Or, Certified Instructor.
• Education:
  
  Requires a graduate of an approved professional (RN) nursing program.
