Registered Nurse - Emergency

• Part Time (24 hr/wk) - Midnight Shift - 7:00pm - 7:30am w/every 3rd weekend
• Sign-on Bonus eligible

Candidate Preferences:
Minimum of 1 year RN inpatient experience or New Grad with Paramedic/EMT/ED Tech experience.

Emergency Unit at Genesys is a Trauma Level 111. This is a 47 bed unit with an additional 10 bed overflow. 2 dedicated trauma bays. This unit excels in stroke & cardiac care.

As a Registered Nurse at Genesys Hospital, you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care, ensuring that each patient receives individualized, high-quality treatment. Your expertise and compassion will directly impact patient outcomes and experiences, making a meaningful difference in their lives.

• Coordinate the development of a multidisciplinary plan of care to ensure appropriate length of stay, resource utilization, and quality outcomes.
• Provide patient education and support, addressing fears and anxiety through effective communication and teaching.
• Administer medications, manage IV therapy, and perform procedures such as dressing changes and blood glucose monitoring.
• Monitor patient responses to interventions, recognizing and responding to acute changes in condition.
• Collaborate with case managers to ensure seamless discharge planning and appropriate follow-up care.

• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing obtained within 2 Months (60 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
• Certified BLS Provider specializing in Basic Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. Or Certified Instructor.
• Requires a graduate of an approved professional (RN) nursing program
• One year minimum nursing experience (ER preferred)
