Leader- Security Shift - Grand Blanc

General Summary

Under general supervision, the Security Leader is responsible for monitoring the activities of security personnel. They prepare the work roster and assign security personnel to ensure adequate security coverage throughout the hospital. They arrange special coverage for events or when circumstances require. They review security reports, incidents, and/or electronic media daily to inform officers of any relevant information at roll call prior to the regularly scheduled start time.

They monitor Henry Ford Health System (HFHS) facilities and properties to prevent loss of property or injury to HFHS patients, visitors, employees or others doing business with HFHS.

• Associate's Degree required;
  Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Must have job knowledge, skills, and abilities of an HFHS Security Officer/Security Police Officer or equivalent work experience, and have received a satisfactory or above performance review in all areas.
• Completion of IAHSS Supervisory and Safety training programs within the first year.
• Must demonstrate strong management and communication capabilities.
• Must display excellent customer service skills and behaviors as outlined in the HFHS Customer Service Policy.
• Requires interpersonal skills focused on quality customer service initiatives and leadership to supervise assigned personnel.

• Certification under public act 330 within the first year of performing this role or at the first offered classes in the tri‑county area.
