Heavy Equipment Operator at Equinox Gold

As part of the Mine Operations department, you will report to the Mine Operations Supervisor. Your responsibilities will include conducting safety inspections, operating excavators, and maintaining equipment. This position requires working on a rotational basis and emphasizes teamwork and safety practices in a remote working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate excavators and heavy machinery safely

• Conduct pre-trip safety inspections and hazard assessments

• Perform grading, sloping, and ditching tasks

• Maintain equipment and report maintenance needs

• Mentor and train apprentices in safe operation

Requirements:

• Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Operator certification preferred

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience

• Minimum 5 years operating heavy equipment

• Experience with CAT machinery is an asset

• Valid Provincial Class 5, 8, and 3 driver's licenses
