Altru Health System is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Non-Interventional/Non-Structural Cardiologist to join its growing Heart & Vascular team in Grand Forks, ND. This is a full-time employed physician position within a high-quality, community-focused health system offering a mix of inpatient and outpatient cardiology care with interventional backup support.
Practice & Clinical Highlights- Join a collaborative Heart & Vascular Services team at Altru, including general cardiology, interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, cardiothoracic surgery, and experienced APP support.
- Practice in the newly designed Altru Heart & Vascular Center
, now consolidated within the sixth floor of Altru Hospital to streamline care and enhance multidisciplinary collaboration. - Provide inpatient and outpatient cardiology services
, including nuclear stress testing, transesophageal echocardiograms (TEEs), echocardiography, EKG, Holter monitoring, and cardioversions. - Share call in rotation with other general and interventional cardiologists; inpatient consults are supported by interventional backup.
- Schedule is Monday-Friday with call rotations; outreach clinics to rural communities possible.
- Affiliation with the University of North Dakota Medical School allows teaching opportunities with medical students if desired.
- MD/DO with Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Cardiology
. - Preference for candidates with advanced imaging fellowship experience, though strong general cardiology experience is welcome. (Advanced imaging expertise preferred)
- H-1B and J-1 visa sponsorship is considered for 2026/2027 candidates.
- Open to practicing physicians and 2026/2027 graduates.
- Must relocate to Grand Forks, ND as per health system policy.
- Competitive compensation with a three-year guaranteed base followed by annual renewals.
