Purpose of Position
The Department of Aviation at the University of North Dakota seeks qualified applicants for a 12-month, non-tenure track, faculty position at the rank of Instructor.
Duties & Responsibilities
* The successful candidate's responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
* Teaching various aviation courses at the standard Instructor teaching load at the undergraduate level.
* Teaching various aviation flight courses, safety courses, etc.
* Mentoring students on academic and career aspirations.
* Serving on departmental, college and university committees, as assigned.
Salary is commensurate with education and experience. Benefits include retirement, health, disability and life insurance plans. All applications will be screened on the basis of qualifications and compatibility with the department's needs and personnel standards.

Required Competencies
* Ability to teach and develop a broad array of aviation courses at the undergraduate level.
Minimum Requirements
* Bachelor's Degree in an aviation related field and 2 years of professional aviation experience.
* Hold a current FAA CFI and CFII certificate.
* Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check

Preferred Qualifications
* Evidence of established record of successful, collegiate-level classroom teaching in aviation.
