Purpose of Position

The mission of the College of Nursing & Professional Disciplines (CNPD) is to provide excellent and collaborative education, scholarship and service to advance human well-being for all, with an emphasis on rural and underserved populations.

The college consists of the departments of Nursing, Nutrition & Dietetics, and Social Work. For this position, we are looking for a Clinical Instructor/Clinical Assistant Professor to teach in our Undergraduate Nursing program.

The CNPD offers innovative online educational programs, a simulation laboratory and a supportive student environment for both face-to-face and distance learning. The CNPD highly values diversity in our faculty, students and staff at all levels of instructional support.

* This position requires an on-campus presence
* Duties & Responsibilities

* 90% - Teaching will vary but may include:

* NURS 313 Clinical Practicum I

* NURS 333 Clinical Practicum II

* NURS 433 Clinical Practicum III

* NURS 304 Pharmacology I Lab

* NURS 334 Pharmacology II Lab

* 10% - Service to department, college and/or university

* 5% clinical mentorship program for new clinical track faculty

* 5% to be determined with the department chair

Required Competencies

* Excellent communication skills

* Participation in course planning activities

* Ability to responsibly carry out department/college assignments

* Ability to responsibly complete commitments

* Contribute to group effort in planning, implementing and evaluating

* Ability to comply with deadlines

Minimum Requirements

* Master's degree (or higher) in nursing OR master's degree in another field with completion of Nursing Education Certificate OR bachelor's degree in nursing with enrollment in master's of nursing education program with anticipated graduation within 1 year of hire

* Unencumbered ND nursing license or eligible for licensure in ND

* Two years of nursing practice

* Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check

Preferred Qualifications

* Master's degree in Nursing

* Doctoral degree in Nursing

* Teaching experience in an academic setting
