The Department of Communication Sciences & Disorders at the University of North Dakota is seeking an Assistant Professor in Speech Language Pathology. This is a 9-month tenure-track position, contingent on available funding.

The successful candidate will receive a contract with an approximate distribution of 40% teaching, 50% research, and 10% service effort in the first year. A continued 2/2 teaching load will be considered with external grant support. The Department is housed in the College of Arts & Sciences and offers a B.A. in Communication Sciences & Disorders and an M.S. in Speech Language Pathology (SLP). The department currently has seven full-time and four part-time faculty members, and a state-of-the-art clinic facility. There are typically 100 undergraduate students, and 40 graduate students enrolled.

The Department is a part of an integrated on-campus clinic, The Northern Prairie Community Clinic (NPCC). The clinic serves as a training placement for graduate students in psychology, counseling, and speech-language pathology. Students are supervised by licensed professionals. NPCC aims to serve the Grand Forks community and state of North Dakota.

• Advise and mentor graduate students, direct graduate theses and independent study projects.
• Establish a solid and productive research program, including seeking extramural funding to support individual and collaborative projects. Serve as a catalyst for attracting and supporting graduate students in SLP.
