Electrical Signal Engineer Intern

Meadowlark Aircraft's technical team is seeking a part-time Electrical Signal Engineer Intern to support the development of innovative unmanned aerial systems. In this role, you will design, develop, and implement a homing beacon system for landing drones on moving platforms. You will define telemetry sub-system requirements, select appropriate components, capture remote beacon signals via on-board sensors, and integrate the homing signal into the aircraft's control system.

At project completion, you will demonstrate the system's efficacy by safely landing one of Meadowlark's Group 2 UAS aircraft on a platform moving at a minimum speed of 15 miles per hour.

This position is offered in partnership with the InternGF program and runs from September 8 through December 19. The role is part-time (10 hours/week), with a wage range of $20–$30/hour. Application materials include a resume and optional short cover letter.

The ideal candidate:

• is a junior or senior in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, Computer Engineering, or related disciplines
• has a strong understanding of electrical signal design and integration
• possesses excellent problem-solving, technical, and communication skills
• can work closely with Meadowlark's systems engineering and manufacturing teams
• is comfortable in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment

The candidate must be a U.S. Citizen and must successfully pass a background check and drug testing for prohibited substances as defined by Federal regulations.
