THE ROLE
The Relationship Banker delivers comprehensive financial advice to current and prospective clients by assessing their financial needs and offering solutions to help clients achieve their current and future goals. Relationship Bankers are experts in marketing Alerus solutions to existing and prospective clientsthroughdaily interaction, outbound calling efforts, and networking opportunities. Relationship Bankersmayalsoassistwith service and maintenance requests, teller transactions, business account support, andother transactional needs to drive overall success of Alerus.
WHATYOU’LL BE DOING
- Develop confidence in the following procedure sand platforms: consumer and business depository accounts, IRAs, safe deposit boxes, and consumer lending products, andassistclients with your deep understanding of Alerus products and services and how these support clients’ goals.
- Effectively manage,analyze and grow a portfolio of clients toprovideknowledgeableadvice toassistclientsaccomplisha high levelof financial wellness.
- Contribute to company growth by meeting or exceeding annual production goals (new deposit and loan accounts).
- Develop strong internal relationships with otherclientfacing team members to serve clients’ holistic needs.
- Support the successful operations of any branch in market, including: opening/closing procedures, transactions, account service and maintenance.
- 3+yearsof financial services experience;previous experience as a teller and/or universal banker.
- Ability to manage multiple phases of the sales/service process, including but not limited to the dedication to utilizing
CRM software - Self-motivation withdemonstratedinitiative,creativity and enthusiasm to develop sales strategy, prospects, and client relationships
- Positive attitude and passion to serve
- Established interpersonal skills, and effective team-oriented communication skills

Workistypicallyperformed in an office setting. Theemployeeisregularly required tosit for extended periods of time.
The employee is occasionally required tomoveaboutthe officeutilizingproper ergonomic safeguards when doing so.
Additionally, the employee must occasionally liftormovesuppliesand materialsupto 20 pounds.
