Description:

The Interventional Radiology Technologist demonstrates scope of responsibility within their license.
They properly identify the patient and set up for procedures.
The technologist cleans rooms appropriately after procedures.
They confirm and prepare orders with correct coding for physician review.
The technologist sets up and prepares exam rooms before and after patient procedures.
They maintain room supplies and discuss patient history.
They educate patients concerning their exams.
Inpatients are properly identified according to standards.
The technologist prepares and administers contrast under physician direction.
They perform pain assessments and take appropriate actions as needed.
The technologist codes specific procedures and stays up to date on CPT coding.
They complete charges for exams in the electronic medical record system and PACS.
The technologist may perform other duties as assigned to meet departmental needs.
