This is a 32 hour a week position with possibility of up to 40 hours. Day and evening shifts are available with rotating weekend as assigned.

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our multidisciplinary team in supporting adolescent residents. Under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, you'll help deliver therapeutic services that foster functional independence, emotional regulation, and participation in meaningful activities.
ResponsibilitiesAs a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) at Ruth Meiers Adolescent Center, a 10 bed, 24/7 facility, working with youth in a residential setting, you will be on the floor most of your shift carrying out individualized behavioral plans, sensory diets, and working along-side the activities coordinator in providing rehabilitative activities to progress the resident's functional skills; co-leading group sessions with the Occupational Therapist focusing on life skills, coping strategies, sensory integration, and self-care;
monitor and document residents' responses to interventions and reporting findings. You will also provide crisis intervention and support when needed.

QualificationsTo be considered for the Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) position you must be 21 years of age or older and have licensure as a certified occupational therapy assistant by the ND Board of Occupational Therapy Practice (NDCC Chapter 43-40).
Additionally, this position requires a valid driver's license and successful completion of the assigned defensive driving course during new-hire orientation.
Alternate Pathway- We will consider filling the position as an Occupational Therapy Aide which requires that a person is pursuing a supervised course of study leading to a degree or certificate in Occupational Therapy services (NDCC Chapter 43-40-03.1). Information verifying enrollment in an accredited or approved educational program must be submitted with the application form.
