Azure Data Quality Assurance Specialist

The role involves testing and validating data systems used by the Veterans Administration. You will develop and implement test plans based on user stories, execute both manual and automated testing, debug defects, and document results. You will work closely with data engineers and the development team to ensure high quality, reliable, and user‑friendly data solutions across Azure, Oracle, and AWS environments.

• 3+ years of experience with Azure Tools used for data engineering and ELT, including Azure Synapse or Azure Databricks
• Experience with analyzing and profiling data
• Experience with querying or working with data using SQL and Py Spark
• Experience building automated testing frameworks that can be used to proactively catch data issues
• Knowledge of best testing practices and patterns in a Cloud environment
• Ability to work as part of a mid‑sized team, with minimal direction, and rapidly build test plans and test sets using standard test planning tools
• Ability to implement, build, and execute test plans using CoTS automated tooling or script‑based testing with Python or Scala
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
• HS diploma or GED

• Experience with Cloud‑based testing tools, including Collibra's Data Quality
• Knowledge of JIRA and Confluence
• Ability to integrate testing protocols to monitoring applications, including Dynatrace or Splunk
• Ability to document standards and test plans
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Azure Data Engineer Certification
