• Education
  :
  Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or closely related discipline
• Experience
  : 10+ years overall; at least 4 years of hands‑on Security Control Assessor experience
• Technical Skills
  : RMF, CNSSI 1253, NIST SP 800‑53 Rev 5, NISPOM, STIGs, SCAP/SCC, compliance and vulnerability scanning tools (XACTA, Red Seal, Tenable, Nessus, Splunk, etc.), cloud A&A best practices
• Certifications (desired): CASP, CISA, CISSP, AWS Cloud Practitioner, AWS Solutions Architect Associate, Microsoft AZ‑900, Microsoft AZ‑500

• Evaluate security controls within network systems to identify vulnerabilities and recommend corrective actions, working independently or with a team.
• Ensure IT system integrity by identifying and mitigating potential exploitation avenues at system and user levels.
• Apply knowledge of RMF, CNSSI 1253, NIST SP 800‑53 Rev 5, and NISPOM.
• Utilize STIGs and SCAP/SCC for compliance checks.
• Conduct hands‑on security testing, analyze results, document risks, and recommend countermeasures.
• Develop risk assessment reports based on security plan reviews and stakeholder interviews.
• Develop and document security evaluation test plans and procedures.
• Test security architectures of cloud‑based systems and applications, identify vulnerabilities, and recommend remediation.
