Travel Long Term Care RN (13‑Week Assignment)

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for a long‑term care facility in Bottineau,, North Dakota. The assignment will last 13 weeks.

Core Requirements
:

  • One year of recent experience as an RN in a long‑term care setting.
  • Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
  • Other certifications may be required depending on facility requirements.
Responsibilities
  • Provide skilled nursing care to residents, ensuring health, comfort, and well‑being.
  • Develop, update, and implement personalized care plans in collaboration with residents, families, and the care team.
  • Observe residents for medication reactions or changes in condition and report concerns to the healthcare provider.
  • Administer treatments, including wound care, IV therapy, catheter management, and other skilled procedures within scope of practice.
  • Supervise and support LPNs and CNAs, delegating tasks and ensuring quality care.
  • Educate residents and families on medications, treatments, and management of chronic conditions.
  • Document care provided, resident progress, and any health changes in a timely manner.
  • Respond quickly to emergencies, delivering critical care and coordinating with medical teams.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals for coordinated, comprehensive care.
  • Adhere to facility safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards.
Qualifications & Physical / Technical Requirements
  • Registered Nurse (RN) in a long‑term care (LTC) facility.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
  • Physical ability to remain stationary, move about, lift 50‑100 lbs, push/pull, and bend.
  • Technical skill to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move equipment during procedures.
  • Must cope with frequent contact with the general public under pressure and work autonomously or under close supervision as needed.
  • Visual acuity and effective communication for sensory demands.
