Location:

A postdoctoral fellowship opportunity is currently available with the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Agricultural Research Service (ARS) within the Grand Forks Human Nutrition Research Center located in Grand Forks, North Dakota.

Research Project:
This project entails collaborating on a clinical intervention study to investigate the impact of the physical processing of food on ingestive behaviors and satiety. This research will contribute to a greater understanding of the impact of food processing on eating behaviors and health outcomes. You will join the mentor's team and have the opportunity to collaborate on other ongoing research on related topics.

Learning Objectives:
Under the guidance of the mentor, the fellow will have the opportunity to:

  • Gain valuable skills in interdisciplinary research and clinical trial development
  • Receive training in food pattern modeling methodologies
  • Collaborate with a broad range of scientists and develop a strong network
  • Develop methods to investigate the links between agriculture and human health

Further develop skills related to manuscript preparation

Anticipated Appointment

Start Date:

October 2026. Start date is flexible and will depend on a variety of factors.

Appointment Length:

The appointment will initially be for two years.

Level of Participation:

The appointment is full time.

Participant Stipend:

The participant will receive a monthly stipend commensurate with educational level and experience. The anticipated stipend range is $68,000 - $75,000 annually.
