- The Maintenance Technician at Hugo's Family Marketplace is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of store equipment and systems. This role is critical in supporting store operations by minimizing downtime and ensuring safety compliance, thereby enhancing the overall customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
:
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair store equipment and systems to ensure optimal functionality.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks to extend the life of equipment and prevent unexpected failures.
- Respond promptly to urgent maintenance issues to minimize disruption to store operations.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition and keep accurate maintenance records.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards, promoting a safe working environment.
- Support store operations by efficiently managing maintenance tasks to reduce downtime.
- Coordinate with external vendors for specialized repairs and maintenance services.
- Assist with store setup and equipment installation as needed, ensuring all systems are operational.

Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Emphasis on hands-on experience and practical skills
Preferred Education:
- Technical or vocational training in electrical, HVAC, plumbing, or general maintenance is preferred
- Certifications (e.g., OSHA, electrical, HVAC) are a plus
Required Experience:
- 1-3 years of hands-on experience in maintenance, repair, or facilities work
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or general building systems
- Previous retail or commercial environment experience is a plus
- Skills in troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and safety compliance are essential
