The HVAC Technician at Hugo's Family Marketplace is responsible for ensuring the optimal functioning of commercial HVAC systems within our retail stores. This role is crucial in maintaining a comfortable environment for both customers and staff by installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems, as well as ensuring compliance with safety standards.

• Install, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC systems in retail stores.
• Perform preventive maintenance to ensure the longevity and efficiency of HVAC systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues to ensure minimal downtime and disruption.
• Respond promptly to service calls and provide effective solutions.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Maintain accurate and detailed service records for all HVAC systems.
• Support a comfortable environment for customers and staff through effective HVAC management.
• Travel between locations as needed to provide timely support and maintenance.
• Work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends, to meet the demands of the business.

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Completion of an accredited HVAC technical or trade school program preferred
• Associate degree in HVAC, Refrigeration, or a related field a plus

• 3+ years of experience in commercial HVAC systems
• Knowledge of electrical systems, refrigeration cycles, and HVAC controls
• Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between locations

• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends as needed
