* Job Purpose:

**  - The Bakery Truck Driver at Hugo's Family Marketplace is responsible for ensuring the safe and timely delivery of bakery products to various locations while maintaining excellent customer service and adhering to company policies and safety guidelines. This is an overnight position.

* Key Responsibilities:

**  - Safely operate the delivery truck in compliance with local road regulations and company policies.  - Load, unload, and secure goods to ensure they are transported safely and without damage.  - Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any issues or maintenance needs promptly.  - Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage records, and other required documentation to ensure compliance with company standards.  

- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and other team members to coordinate deliveries and address any issues that arise.  - Follow company policies, health, and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.  - Manage time effectively to ensure deliveries are made on schedule, especially during overnight shifts.  - Demonstrate strong route navigation abilities to optimize delivery efficiency.  - Perform basic vehicle maintenance as needed to ensure the delivery truck remains in good working condition.

** Required

Education:

**  - Valid driver's license  - Pass DOT physical  - High school diploma or equivalent

* Required Experience:

**  - Experience in safely operating and maintaining delivery vehicles  - Ability to load, unload, and secure goods efficiently  - Experience in maintaining accurate delivery logs, mileage records, and other required documentation

* Preferred Experience:

**  - Previous experience in delivery or light truck driving  - Knowledge of safe driving practices and local road regulations

Skills and Abilities:

**  - Ability to lift and carry moderately heavy items (e.g., 50 lbs) as needed  - Proficient in vehicle inspection and reporting any issues or needs  - Familiarity with company policies, health, and safety guidelines
