As a Dump Person, you are responsible to direct trucks dumping blacktop for paver, operate equipment, and perform various laborer tasks with the paving crew as needed

This is a seasonal position, you can use your winters off to travel, hunt, fish or for other activities you enjoy while your benefits continue year-round.

DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES (summary of components that make up the job)

* Direct trucks when dumping blacktop or aggregate, engage mechanism to dump truck when appropriate

* Perform daily walk-around inspection

* Lay string line on paving jobs

* Apply temporary lane marking tape

* Operate jack hammer on a daily basis

* Communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written) and work with difficult people under high stress situations . Self-motivated,

team-player with good interpersonal skills; ability to maintain positive customer relations and act courteous/respectful of others.

* Troubleshoot and problem solve situations/problems (material quality, equipment operation/repair, etc.). Monitor and discuss

production problems with co-workers and managers/supervisors.

* Ensure OSHA, EPA, DNR, safety and environmental regulation compliance.

* Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (minimum educational, experience, or other relevant job requirements)

* General education, grammar and arithmetic, GED or high school diploma or equivalent

* Ability to provide and maintain proper licensure, medical card and acceptable driving record.
