Warehouse Associate responsibilities and qualifications are described below.
Shift Schedule- Day Shift: Monday-Friday, 7:00am – 6:00pm (full‑time). Shift differential $2.00/hour.
- 2nd Shift (PM):
Monday-Friday, 1:00pm – 10:00pm. Shift differential $2.00/hour. - Weekend Shift: Friday-Monday, 7:00am – 6:00pm. Shift differential $2.00/hour.
Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software. Ability to lift 50 lbs., stand/walk for up to 10 hours, frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach, continuously climb and descend stairs safely. Willing and able to work on powered equipment (e.g., forklift).
Preferred Skills and ExperiencePrevious forklift experience; customer service skills.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesA Warehouse Associate at Acme Tools performs a variety of warehousing tasks in support of all sales distribution points while adhering to the company’s safety, quality, and production standards. This individual will assist with unloading freight from trucks and trailers using manual and motorized equipment. Once freight has been unloaded, Warehouse Associates will compare goods received and packing slips to ensure order accuracy, inspect goods for any damage, notify their supervisor of discrepancies, and scan or enter product into the inventory control system or related computer program.
Warehouse Associates maintain a consistent and adequate stock of products on the sales floor and warehouse shelves in a neat and orderly condition. This includes using manual or motorized equipment to transport inventory between the warehouse and store locations. Warehouse associates also participate in scheduled inventory events such as physical inventory counts.
In addition to receiving freight and maintaining inventory, this position prepares shipments for customers or other Acme Tools locations. Warehouse Associates accurately pick items from customer orders, shipping orders, or requisitions, prepare shipments, and load product onto trucks, trailers, or customer vehicles. Occasionally, Warehouse Associates drive a company vehicle to transport items from the warehouse to a customer or pick‑up items from various locations.
Warehouse Associates help maintain a clean and organized warehouse to ensure accessibility and safety. They may participate in property maintenance such as snow removal and lawn care. This position assists in maintaining a safe and secure work environment by adhering to safety standards and reporting any suspicious activity.
This position will perform related tasks as assigned.
