Job SummaryProviding material handling, site organization, and logistics planning to support the customer’s daily operations. Supports the overall operations functions of the customer’s warehouse. Delivery and staging of BSE material to customer’s yard/warehouse. Loading BSE deliveries onto customer trailers. Organize and eliminate old stock and scrap and eliminate unused material from customer’s warehouse and yard racking. Fills orders and informs proper departments of “stock outs”, inventory discrepancies and other inventory problems or concerns.
ResponsibilitiesEssential Functions
- Organize and eliminate old stock and scrap and eliminate unused material from customer’s warehouse and yard racking.
- Delivery and staging of all BSE orders to customer’s warehouse/yard.
- Loading of larger orders onto customer’s trailers.
- Ensure all orders are delivered, staged, and loaded as required.
- Completes projects and tasks as determined by the customer.
- Fills orders at the customer site.
- Operates and maintains all equipment in a safe manner and adheres to all local, state, and federal traffic and safety regulations.
- Supports the operations functions of the warehouse.
- Informs proper departments of “stock outs”, inventory discrepancies and other inventory problems or concerns.
- May fill orders with existing inventory.
- Maintains warehouse and keeps work area clean and safe.
- Maintains assigned inventory stock locations making sure material is put away and has the correct locator and the shelves are kept neat and orderly.
Non-essential Functions
- Ensures all batched managed material is labeled accurately and inventoried, as needed.
- May check and pack material to be delivered.
- May provide customer service functions including, but not limited to, order entry, processing returns, expediting, technical assistance, and other functions, as needed.
- Notifies supervisor of any building or equipment maintenance, repair needs and/or any security concerns.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor or other designate.
- Minimum of a two-year business/trade degree or equivalent work experience.
- Prior warehouse distribution experience including forklift operation and knowledge of electrical products/systems is also preferred.
- If the employee will be driving, the following criteria must be met –
- Candidate must be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a valid driver's license to operate company vehicle and a current medical certification may be required.
- PC working knowledge for Windows, Internet, email and SAP software is a plus.
- Ability to works in a safe manner and follow Border States safety program guidelines and policies.
- Excellent interpersonal communication (reading, writing and speaking in English).
- Effective planning and organizational skills.
- Excellent customer service skills include being competent, accurate, responsive and engaged.
