Key Responsibilities- Perform precise measurements of manufactured components using various metrology equipment.
- Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot a wide range of inspection and measurement tools.
- Develop and execute CMM programs for automated part inspection.
- Analyze measurement data and generate reports to support quality control and engineering decisions.
- Conduct Gage R&R studies and other Measurement System Analysis (MSA) to ensure measurement reliability.
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements for inspection planning.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new metrology processes and equipment.
- Proficiency in operating and programming various metrology equipment (e.g., CMM, optical comparators, hand gauges).
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Solid understanding of measurement principles, calibration processes, and basic statistical analysis.
- Experience with metrology software packages (e.g., PC‑DMIS, Calypso) and data management.
- Associate's degree in Metrology, Quality Assurance, or a related technical field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience with advanced metrology software (e.g., Poly Works, GOM Inspect, PC‑DMIS programming)
- Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC) and Minitab
- Ability to read and interpret CAD models (e.g., Solid Works, CATIA) for measurement planning
- Experience in developing or optimizing measurement procedures and work instructions
