Salary Range: $76,000 - $116,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities- Develop and refine product designs from concept through to manufacturing, utilizing CAD software.
- Create detailed 2D and 3D engineering drawings, specifications, and Bills of Material (BOMs).
- Ensure designs meet functional requirements, manufacturing capabilities, cost targets, and quality standards (DFM/DFA).
- Participate in prototype development, testing, and validation to verify design performance.
- Analyze and resolve design-related issues, implementing corrective actions and continuous improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, production, and quality to integrate designs seamlessly.
- Select appropriate materials and components based on performance, cost, and manufacturability criteria.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Proven proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., Solid Works, Inventor, CATIA) and FEA tools.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in product design within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, injection molding, stamping) and material science.
- Demonstrated application of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
- Experience with specific manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding, sheet metal fabrication, CNC machining)
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies
- Proficiency with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) or Product Data Management (PDM) systems
- Hands-on experience with rapid prototyping techniques (e.g., 3D printing, machining prototypes)
- Basic programming or scripting skills for design automation (e.g., Python, VBA)
