Manufacturing Engineer | Grand Haven, MI
Salary Range: $70,000 - $109,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity
We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Grand Haven that are seeking skilled Manufacturing Engineers. These organizations are dedicated to maintaining high standards and are looking for professionals who can contribute effectively. Key Responsibilities
- Design and optimize manufacturing processes for efficiency and cost reduction.
- Develop and implement tooling, fixtures, and equipment for production.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for production issues.
- Collaborate with R&D and design teams to ensure manufacturability of new products.
- Create and maintain detailed work instructions and standard operating procedures.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and materials to improve manufacturing capabilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on process improvement and optimization.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Solid Works, AutoCAD) for designing and analyzing manufacturing layouts and tooling.
- Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and experience implementing tools such as 5S, Kaizen, and Value Stream Mapping.
- Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis to monitor and improve manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with various manufacturing processes, such as machining, assembly, welding, and automation.
- Experience with Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Solid Works, AutoCAD).
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Strong project management skills.
- Knowledge of robotics or automation systems.
