Machine Design Engineer
This Machine Design Engineer will be responsible for designing and enhancing machinery using Solid Works software. This role offers exciting projects, flexible hours, career advancement opportunities, comprehensive benefits, and more. This is a direct hire position for a reputable and growing machine builder in the Grand Haven, MI area. All levels of experience will be considered.
Responsibilities:- Create, design, and layout custom automation equipment based on engineering principles and expertise.
- Conceptualize machine designs and select appropriate materials.
- Develop detailed models and drawings using Solid Works software.
- Size mechanical components such as pumps, gears, pulleys, sheet metal, bearings, hydraulics, pneumatics, and piping.
- Provide support for machine assembly and troubleshooting.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred; relevant experience considered in lieu of degree.
- Previous experience as a Machine Designer, ideally in material handling, assembly, or automation sectors.
- Proficiency in Solid Works; familiarity with Inventor, CREO, Pro-E, AutoCAD, or other 3D design software beneficial.
- Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and servos advantageous.
- Strong technical aptitude, team-oriented mindset, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Project Engineering or structural design experience a plus.
- Must be a US citizen or possess a Green Card.
- Competitive salary range: $90,000 - $125,000 commensurate with experience.
