The Agriculture Process Engineer position will report directly to the Operations Manager and be focused on the intersection of industrial automation and precision agriculture. Expert in re-engineering nursery workflows and optimizing automated irrigation and climate control systems to drive product consistency. Proven track record in leveraging Lean methodologies and PLC to streamline operations, reduce resource waste, and integrate advanced technology into large-scale cultivation environments.
This position will work closely with all production and facilities teams to manage projects to completion.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Ensure safety of employees and equipment.
- Assist in reengineering manufacturing processes to optimize product flow, reduce variation, and streamline operations, Continuous Improvement Process.
- Assist in the utilization of Lean Manufacturing tools and methodologies.
- Learn all software used at Spring Meadow to assist the production teams with manufacturing and environment improvements. (Argus, PICAS, Perfect Rain II, Cherry Creek, PLC)
- Implement new technology and equipment into manufacturing processes.
- Design and/or oversee fabrication of new equipment as needed.
- Create and update standard operating procedures within the scope of responsibility.
- Perform other related duties as required.

- Bachelor's degree in Biological, Industrial, Mechanical, or Operations Engineering required. Master's degree preferred.
- Problem solving, process management, and analytical skills are required.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Must be able to work independently or with little guidance.
- Conveyors and process controls experience.
- Must possess the ability to lift, carry, or otherwise move 30 pounds.
- Must maintain a level of performance equivalent to company standards, that being a "Meets Expectations" in all areas of your performance evaluations (including but not limited to, Self and Management reviews).

Job Type: Full time, salary, exempt.
Pay: starting at $55,000 per year, dependent upon experience. Amount is not inclusive of total compensation package.
