Resin Mix Room

Job Description and ResponsibilitiesA resin mix room is a dedicated area where resins and composite materials are prepared, blended, and processed for use in manufacturing. The role in this room — often called a resin technician, resin mixer, or mixer operator — involves precise mixing,quality control, and equipment maintenance to ensure consistent product performance.

Key Responsibilities
1. Preparation and Mixing Prepare, measure, and weigh raw resin materials and additives according to exact formulas

Operate industrial or automated resin mixers to blend resins (e.g., epoxy, polyester, urethane) with hardeners, fillers, or pigments

Adjust mixing parameters (speed, temperature, time) to achieve uniform consistency and meet quality standards
2. Quality Control and Testing Inspect batches for compliance with specifications before release

Take samples for lab testing if required

Record production and batch information accurately
3. Equipment Operation and Maintenance Operate and maintain resin mixers, pumps, conveyors, and related equipment

Clean and sanitize mixers and work areas between batches to prevent contamination

Report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns promptly
4. Safety and Compliance Follow strict safety protocols when handling hazardous chemicals

Always wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
Adhere to environmental and waste disposal regulations
5. Support and Collaboration Assist in other production areas as needed

Work with engineers or product developers to troubleshoot issues and optimize formulation

Requirements

Works well with others in time-based situations

Good time management skills monitoring production levels for on-time delivery

Basic math and computer skills for measuring and recording data Attention to detail and accuracy in measurements and mixing

Understanding of resin types, properties, and safe handling

Ability to lift and handle materials (often up to 55 lbs)
Willingness to work extended shifts, including nights or weekends

May involve standing, walking, bending, and repetitive mixing tasks.
