Position Summary

The Plastics Injection Machine Operator is an entry-level manufacturing position responsible for supporting the production of high-quality injection-molded parts. This position performs visual and gauge inspections, sorts and packages finished products, identifies defective parts, and completes required production documentation while meeting established quality, safety, and productivity standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Meet or exceed established productivity goals while maintaining quality and safety standards.
  • Perform visual and gauge inspections of injection-molded parts according to product specifications.
  • Remove, lift, and carry finished parts from production belts or equipment as required.
  • Sort finished products and identify and discard defective or nonconforming parts.
  • Package acceptable finished parts according to customer and product specifications.
  • Accurately complete control plans and required production and quality documentation.
  • Promptly communicate suspected production, equipment, or quality problems to the Shift Supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Perform housekeeping activities as needed.
  • Assist with proper waste disposal and recycling activities.
  • Follow established safety procedures, work instructions, and company policies.
  • Work cooperatively with team members to support production goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Positive and dependable work attitude.
  • Ability to work overtime as required based on customer and production demands.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during the shift.
  • Ability to regularly bend, stoop, reach, lift, and perform repetitive manufacturing tasks.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as required.
  • Ability to safely perform the physical duties associated with the manufacturing environment.

This position works in a plastics injection molding manufacturing environment and may involve exposure to production machinery, moving equipment, noise, and other conditions typical of a manufacturing facility. Employees are expected to follow all established safety requirements and wear required personal protective equipment.
