Summer Club Lead

The Grand Island YMCA Childcare has an exciting summer employment opportunity for local teachers and other interested individuals. We are currently searching for teachers and assistants for our summer school age programs. Individuals will be working approximately 40 hours per week over a 10 week period this summer.

• Organizing activities
• Supervising children ranging in ages from Kindergarten through 5th grade
• Providing a clean, safe, nurturing environment for students
• Communicating with parents
• Teaming with co-workers
• Inspiring children to be forever curious and engaging in community field trips

• Be able to complete Fingerprint and Background Checks
• Must be able to document a minimum of 1500 clock hours of working with children in an organized setting OR
• Possess an associate or bachelor's degree in education or related field, able to complete required training to drive YMCA childcare vans.
