Job Summary

This person will be part of an integrated team responsible for designing facility‑related sites in support of data centers and other mission‑critical buildings and infrastructure. The role coordinates with a multidisciplinary design team throughout the project life cycle—from planning, through construction documents, to construction administration. Experience in site development and design of building‑related site civil (grading, utilities, storm drainage, stormwater management, and erosion control) is preferred.

The individual should be self‑motivated, collaborative, and possess strong leadership skills.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Conduct early project development activities, including site selection, due diligence, and site planning.
  • Design and plan production for general civil on a wide variety of mission‑critical projects, including site layouts, grading and drainage, paving, site utilities, and associated civil engineering activities.
  • Perform quantity calculations.
  • Submit permitting applications to local authorities having jurisdiction.
  • Execute complex assignments, exercising judgment in evaluating, selecting, and modifying standard engineering techniques and procedures.
  • Serve as a technical expert with recognized authority in a specialized area, resolving problems of greater scope and complexity as needed.
  • Plan and develop projects or design activities that significantly impact major company programs.
  • Plan, organize, and supervise work of a medium to large staff of professionals and technicians as needed.
  • Oversee the work of other professionals and technicians as needed.
  • Prepare and review civil engineering scopes of work and budgets/estimates for proposals.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong operating knowledge of AutoCAD/Civil 3D and Bluebeam Revu.
  • Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm.
  • Demonstrated experience working with multidisciplinary teams of architects, engineers, and designers.
  • Preference given to local candidates.
Required Qualifications
  • Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.
  • Demonstrated leadership and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Commitment to active participation in our employee‑owned culture.
