Aviation Designer
Benesch's aviation group in Nebraska seeks an Aviation Designer with a minimum of 2 years of aviation design experience and an EIT license. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
LocationHybrid schedule; work from Lincoln or Omaha office.
The Impact You Will Have- Civil airfield design production coordinating with experienced aviation design staff
- Prepare multiple design projects simultaneously
- Perform complete basic analysis and design
- Develop thorough design details appropriate for the project
- Understand how to properly apply design standards/codes
- Prepare plans, specifications, cost estimates, and pay items
- Begin to take ownership of all deliverables
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related discipline required
- E.I.T (or desire to obtain P.E. in the future) preferred
- Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office products
- Demonstrated ability to work and collaborate in a team environment on challenging projects
- Willingness to adapt to office and field inspection tasks
- Position may require field inspection and travel to project sites
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (emails, project memos, reports, etc.)
