Travel RN - Med​/Surg - Hospice​/Palliative Care

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Hospice/Palliative Care position in a post-acute care setting, requiring at least 2 years of experience and a Nebraska or Compact RN license.

Job Details

• Post-acute care setting serving hospice and palliative care patients,

• Provides in-home or community-based visits; hours are flexible and organized around individual patient visit times,

• Uses Point Click Care (PCC) as the EMR system,

• 10-hour day shifts,

• No on-call or call-back responsibilities,

• 13-week contract,

Job Requirements

• Active NE or Compact RN license required,

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required,

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing,

• Current BLS certification (AHA) required,

• Experience with hospice or palliative care strongly applicable to this role,

• Point Click Care (PCC) experience preferred,

Additional Information

• Conducts initial and ongoing patient assessments and contributes to individualized plans of care,

• Coordinates with an interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care and implementation of the care plan,

• Demonstrates knowledge of hospice philosophy, palliative care, grief stages, and cultural attitudes toward death and dying,

• Involves patients and families in care planning and explains advance directives and available services,

• Completes required clinical documentation within appropriate time frames and participates in quality assurance audits,

• Candidates must reside more than 80 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel pay rates; those within 80 miles are considered local and subject to adjusted rates,

• If facility-provided housing is used, local pay rates apply regardless of candidate's home location,
