Job Purpose
The Logistics Engineer is responsible for designing, analyzing, and optimizing supply chain and distribution processes to ensure the efficient, cost‑effective movement of goods and materials across the organization’s network. Based in Grand Island, NE.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor supply of raw materials, stock levels, storage capability, and demand levels based on business initiatives.
- Create integrated processes among internal functions such as operations, purchasing, and logistics, and collaborate with outside suppliers.
- Focus resources on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through various production and distribution processes and establish key performance metrics and benchmarks relating to supply chain planning/forecasting to measure actual performance.
- Oversee the scheduling of deliveries to prevent excess stock or backorders.
- Direct maintenance of records and data essential to material programs, including material resource planning.
- Consider short, medium, and long‑term supply plans to ensure supply security and optimize profit for each supply chain.
- Develop risk assessment and contingency plans should demand exceed supply.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
- A minimum of four years of relevant experience.
The annual salary for this role is $86,625 - $115,500 plus any applicable bonus. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role.
