Summary

This National Guard position is for a SUPPLY TECHNICIAN (Position Description Number D0915000) within AASF 2, Nebraska Army National Guard.

• Responsible for all phases of DLR and CLIX repair/repairable items procurement and returns program.
• Forecast, justify, prepare, submit, and administer the annual DLR budget request.
• Acquire needed DLR and CLIX repair parts, verify availability, and order parts as required.
• Determine proper fund coding, prepare requisitions, and forward to source of supply.
• Ensure part availability, receive parts, store them, prepare Material Release Orders (MRO), and forward to maintenance shops.
• Recover damaged/unserviceable parts, initiate turn‑in procedures, and arrange shipment to depot, Aviation Classification Repair Army Depot (AVCRAD), or other activity.
• Maintain Document Control Register and ship‑out log; verify receipt of returned parts.
• Review budget reports to ensure returned funds are credited to the DLR account.
• Coordinate networking with civilian and military agencies (e.g., AVCRAD, Aviation Missile Command (AMCOM), Item Managers, civilian contract vendors).
• Assist/perform the property book operations for inventory, storage management, and equipment coordination.
• Ensure property book sections conduct visual inventories of all items.
• Maintain property book accountability using automated or manual supply accounting systems.
• Establish hand receipt files and maintain accountability via hand receipt listings.
• Assure all authorized property is on hand or requisitioned.
• Coordinate assignment and transfer of inventory.
• Schedule, direct, and conduct periodic inspections to ensure stock items are serviceable and properly stored.
• Analyze supply transactions or provide customer service for urgent critical shortage items and items requiring special handling when procedures are not applicable.
• Code and classify requisitions, shipping orders, and other documents; refer requests to alternate sources of supply when stock is unavailable.
• Determine stock replenishment levels for centrally controlled items within funding limitations.
• Establish procedures for calibration, testing of TMDE, and monitor tool room operations, including accounting, issuing, and replacing tools.
• Oversee subordinates when organizational structure does not support a full‑time supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• National Guard membership required; a Title 32 excepted service position.
• Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to placement; maximum E6, minimum E3; no grade inversion.
• Must obtain and maintain appropriate security clearance/background check within one year of appointment; failure to maintain may result in rescission or separation.
• Valid security clearance required upon appointment.
• Male applicant born after 12/31/1959 must be registered under the Military Selective Service Act; otherwise not eligible.
• Must be able to perform duties without a domestic violence misdemeanor conviction (Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment, 30 Sep 96).
• Must be able to work irregular and/or overtime hours as required by operational needs.
• At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade; knowledge of governing supply regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Experience conducting searches for required information, reconstructing records for supply transactions, and providing supply operations support for specialized or unique supplies.
• Experience with computer and automation systems related to supply functions.
• Education:
  
  two academic years in an accredited college or university will satisfy GS‑4 specialization; additional years beyond the second year provide credit for higher grades (one full academic year beyond the second year equals six months of specialized experience for GS‑5).
• 2‑year trial period with certification of continued employment based on performance and organizational fit.
